Thursday Challenge : Blue

Came to know about the Thursday Challenge Photography for Fun and Learning at Vibhuti and Vee’s blog. Quickly scanned my ‘My Pictures’ and found this memory from our Laddakh Trip in August 2009.

This picture was clicked at the Pangong Lake, near Leh.

Pangong Lake is an endorheic lake in the Himalayas situated at a height of about 4,350 m. It is 134 km long and extends from India to China. 60% of the length of the lake lies in China. The lake is 5 km wide at its broadest point. During winter the lake freezes completely, despite being saline water.

A friend of ours---Army man-- feels that instead of going around the world for shootings, bollywood should explore the amazing Leh.
